Guide for authors
Manuscripts submitted for publication must comply with the journal’s publishing requirements, as outlined below:
First: Language of the Manuscript
- All manuscripts must be written in English.
- If a manuscript is originally written in another language, it must be accurately translated into English prior to submission.
Second: Manuscript Formatting
- Font type: Times New Roman
- Body text size: 12
- Main headings: 16
- Subheadings: 14
Third: Referencing and Citations
- Sources and references must be cited in the text according to the APA style, as follows:
- Direct quotation:
(Al-Sanhouri, 2019, page number) - Paraphrasing or summarizing:
(Al-Sanhouri, 2019)
- Direct quotation:
- References should be listed at the end of the manuscript in a single reference list using the following format:
(Author’s last name, first name. Year of publication. Book title. Edition. Place of publication: Publisher).
Example:
(Obaid, Hanan. 2021. Strategic Planning. 1st ed. Amman, Jordan: Wael Publishing House).
Important Note:
Research in Islamic Studies and Arabic Studies is exempt from APA referencing. In these fields, references should be provided in footnotes according to the following format:
(Source title, author name, publishing house, country, edition number, year, page number).
Tables and Illustrations
- Tables, charts, maps, images, and figures must be embedded within the main text.
- They may be presented in color or black and white.
- All figures should be numbered sequentially.
- Each figure must have a title placed above it, with the source indicated directly below.
Submission Process
After fulfilling all publication requirements, authors should submit their manuscript in Word format to the journal’s official email address.
Note:
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial screening, followed by a scientific peer-review process before a final publication decision is made.
Publication Ethics
The journal adopts internationally recognized standards of publication ethics and is committed to applying them to all parties involved in the publishing process.
First: Author Responsibilities
Authors are required to:
- Adhere to the principles and ethics of scientific research.
- Submit original work that has not been previously published.
- Maintain academic integrity and accurate referencing.
- List authors’ names according to their genuine scientific contributions.
- Acknowledge individuals who contributed to the research without listing them as authors.
- Refrain from submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously.
- Report any significant errors discovered after publication.
- Respond to reviewers’ comments or provide clear scientific justification in case of disagreement.
Second: Reviewer Responsibilities
Reviewers are required to:
- Comply with international ethical standards for peer review.
- Decline review assignments in cases of lack of expertise or conflicts of interest.
- Maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts and their contents.
- Ensure that submitted research is free from plagiarism or scientific misconduct.
- Provide objective, clear, and well-reasoned review reports.
- Adhere to the specified review timeline.
Third: Editorial Board Responsibilities
The Editorial Board is committed to:
- Selecting qualified reviewers with complete confidentiality.
- Making final publication decisions based on peer-review reports and the scientific merit of the manuscript.
- Preserving the confidentiality of the review process.
- Avoiding discrimination against authors for any non-academic reasons.
- Addressing authors’ complaints through fair and documented procedures.
Ensuring that published research complies with ethical standards of scientific publishing.
Plagiarism Policy
- All manuscripts are subject to plagiarism screening using specialized software.
- Any manuscript found to involve plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, or data manipulation will be rejected immediately.
The journal reserves the right to retract any published article that is later found to violate publication ethics.
